First Week Of Champions League On TNT Comes With Mixed Reviews — And Plenty Of Bashing On Social Media

So, were you able to find the Champions League on TNT? Or were you left scratching your head as to how to watch the world’s best club competition?

The U.S. Champions League TV rights are no longer owned by Fox (hallelujah!), so you may have had some trouble finding the tournament this week (if you didn’t read this).

Toronto FC Sucks Now So Of Course It Got Trashed By Tigres In Campeones Cup

The Campeones Cup was too much to ask of a team that’s completely fallen apart.

Last year, Toronto FC set all sorts of records as arguably the best MLS team ever put together. The Reds added a few parts during the offseason and reached the final of the Concacaf Champions League in April, arguably the best run in the tournament ever by an MLS club.

But that was TFC then.

This is TFC now.

Josef Martinez Reaches 30-Goal Mark After Scoring 95th Minute Winner To Complete Wild Comeback

Someone, somewhere must've officially declared this week "World Heart-Attack-Inducing Stoppage Time Goal Week." Matias Vecino’s 92nd strike to seal Inter's comeback victory over Tottenham; Roberto Firmino’s one-eyed 91st minute winner that crushed PSG hearts; Niko Vlašić’s 95th minute goal that salvaged CSKA Moscow a point in the Czech Republic against Viktoria Pl

The USWNT World Cup Qualifying Roster Is Here

On Wednesday, USWNT coach Jill Ellis released her list of 20 players that will represent the U.S. in the CONCACAF Women’s Championship set to take place next month. The tournament, which will be held in three different U.S. cities from October 4-17, will serve as the North American qualifiers for the 2019 Women’s World Cup. Eight teams will battle it out for the top three spots to book their ticket to France. Here are the American women who will hoping to lead the defending champions to the World Cup finals:

Sam Mewis Rips A 25-Yard Golazo To Help NC Courage Reach NWSL Final

The North Carolina Courage defeated the Chicago Red Stars 2-0 on Tuesday night in the semifinals of the NWSL playoffs to setup a repeat of the 2017 final between the Courage and Portland Thorns FC. That match will take place at Providence Park on Saturday, Sept. 22, at 4:30 p.m. ET, with coverage on Lifetime.

Pulisic Scores, Weston McKennie Assists, World Cup Trophy Engraver Starts Practicing ‘USMNT’

In arguably the greatest American Champions League matchday since DaMarcus Beasley roofed one for PSV against Monaco in the 2005 Round of 16, our pubescent USMNT squad registered a game-winning goal and a point-obtaining assist on Tuesday. The goal was somewhat unknowingly golazo'd by Christian Pulisic (celebrating his 20th birthday), and the assist was recorded by Weston McKennie (who actually celebrated his 20th birthday a few weeks ago).

How Can A Tie In The NFL Feel So Wrong When A Footy Draw Feels So Right?

The NFL and footy came together in holy matrimony this past week thanks to the crossover appeal of ties and people not kicking well, and, let’s be honest, NFL fans were not happy about it. We hold these truths to be self-evident: Draws in places like the Premier League and the World Cup group stage are a fitting outcome that usually serves to highlight the flow of 90 minutes and heightens further drama down the road; ties in the NFL are an absolute nonsense after three hours of start-stop pointgasms.

This Zlatan Ibrahimovic-Michael Bradley Banter Might Be The Best Thing That’s Ever Happened In MLS

Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored his 500th goal on Saturday. It was a remarkable goal for a remarkable achievement. But amidst the craziness of Toronto’s 5-3 win over the LA Galaxy on Saturday was a budding Zlatan-Michael Bradley bromance.

And by bromance, we mean they appear to hate each other.

Watch: Zlatan Scores Goal No. 500 In Typical Zlatan Fashion — With Impossible Flair

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has always had a flair for the dramatic. His ability to contort his 6-5 frame, even at 36 years of age, has allowed him to score some of the most mind-rending goals you’ll ever see. Zlatan's 500th goal was more of the same.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored his 500th goal for club and country with a wild karate kick thing on Saturday night, becoming the third active player after Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo to reach that milestone.

Megan Rapinoe Is So Good She Probably Meant To Bank This Free Kick Off The Crossbar For An Assist

The Portland Thorns edged the Seattle Reign 2-1 in the first NWSL semifinal on Saturday at Providence Park in Portland, a second straight victory over their rivals to advance to the NWSL championship game on Sept. 22.

Tobin Heath had a goal (and another called back) while Lindsey Horan headed in the winner in the 76th minute. It was a deserved win for a home side that had tremendous support from its fans, who will get to see their team go for a second straight title back at Providence Park against either North Carolina or Chicago.
