Fabian Johnson's Late Equalizer Rescues Draw For Borussia Monchengladbach

Most USMNT fans know Fabian Johnson is a baller left back, but some might be surprised to find that's not normally where he plays for his club, Borussia Monchengladbach. In Germany, Johnson is primarily deployed as a winger, and this 84th-minute equalizer against RB Leipzig shows why.

Johnson would probably feature on the wing for Jurgen Klinsmann's squad too if good left backs weren't so difficult to come by.

This Video Shows Everything That Makes The Beautiful Game Beautiful

There are many things to love about soccer, the beautiful game: the pageantry, the flair, the skill, the passion, the joy. This video exhibits all of those things, and more.

This Soccer Dog Is Such A Good Dog That He Saved A Goal

Here's what happened: in Chile, this dog was just standing there watching soccer and being a good dog. The ball rolled near the goal and looked like it was going to go in, so the good soccer dog leaped into action and prevented the goal.

Is this good dog a hero? It's hard to say, because what's a hero? Is being a good dog who looks out for goalkeepers in need also being a hero?

We say no, this good dog isn't a hero (at least not for this action; it's our contention that all dogs are heroes). He's just doing his job. Good dog.

This Last-Second Save To Preserve Three Points Is Better Than Any Goal From The Weekend

34-year-old journeyman keeper Brad Jones has thrust himself into the limelight this week. First, he kept a clean sheet in Feyenoord’s improbable Europa League victory over Manchester United. Then, in today’s Dutch Eredivisie match against PSV, Jones pulled off this amazing last-second save to preserve Feyenoord’s 1-0 advantage.

With literally the last action of the match, PSV looked certain to score from a towering header from five yards out. It was a thudding attempt that looked destined to fly in under the bar, only for Jones to claw it out.

Let This Video Be Your Inspiration For The Weekend

A non-league match in England between Glossop North End and Ramsbottom FC yielded one of the greatest renditions of the playground prank referred to as “table topping” that you’ll ever see.

The “table top”, as defined by urban dictionary, is when “an innocent bystander is standing up. Someone gets on their hands and knees behind them and another person pushes them, making them fall on their a**.”

Legia Warsaw Ultras Filmed Brutally Pepper Spraying Stadium Stewards

Legia Warsaw’s Champions League opener against Borussia Dortmund couldn’t have gone any worse for the Polish club. On top of being defeated 6-0, they’ve been retroactively charged by UEFA with six offenses stemming from crowd trouble.

Fireworks, allegations of racist chanting and ultras armed with pepper spray all contributed to the charges. Warsaw ultras were captured on camera trying to break into the away section armed with pepper spray. Their attempt was rebuffed by stadium security, but the stewards tasked with holding the ultras back suffered the brunt of the violence.
