First of all, this announcer’s name is Bambino Pons. Awesome. That’s the kind of name that I dream about naming my first born, but would never have the balls to actually ignore all rational thought to it.
What could a man named Bambino Pons not do? I could see him organizing art heists, setting an unbeatable Tetris record, and getting elected president only to turn down the position because politics, and I’m quoting his future self here, “is a bunch of b*******.”
But of all the things that I could have possibly imagined this infinitely cool offspring of mine doing, becoming the world’s greatest singing announcer was not one of them. I will never underestimate the name of Bambino Pons again.
Your eyes and ears have not deceived you. We have not found some bootleg audio of a soccer enthusiast at one of the few combination sports and karaoke bars in the world and simply laid it over video of our favorite soccer goals. This is real, people. As real and glorious as it gets.
You’ll be pleased to know that we did our due diligence and found a nearly 8-minute-long video full of moments of magic just like the one above.
We could watch these all day. It’s a shame that he only broadcasts for Fox Sports in South America.
