Somehow it has already been more than two years since Ricardo Kaka retired from football. The Brazilian is now 38 years old after celebrating his birthday on April 22. Let’s take a look back at the best Kaka moments in honor of his birthday and everything he contributed to the sport.
Best Kaka Moments
Orlando City’s First Goal vs. NYCFC
It wasn’t the prettiest goal in Kaka’s career, but it was a legendary moment for Orlando City in front of 62,000 fans. This was also one of the big highlights of the Brazilian’s time in MLS. Kaka played three seasons with Orlando making 77 appearances and scoring 25 goals.
Kaka Outsprinting Messi
Lionel Messi is thought of as one of the fastest players in football. Kaka’s solo goal against Argentina in 2006 was not only breathtaking but showed the sheer speed the Brazilian had with a ball at his feet.
2007 Ballon d’Or
One of the highest honors in football, the Ballon d’Or has been dominated by Cristano Ronaldo and Messi. In 2007, Kaka received 444 votes, beating out both superstars after a magical season, including his first and only Champions League title.
