It’s always a fun time to watch SportsCenter have to discover new sports in the summer. With the NBA plus NHL finishing up and NFL in the offseason the SportsCenter Top 10 segment is forced to look elsewhere for its best plays. Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC of USL1 — the third tier of U.S. Soccer. — has managed to crack No. 2 on the list.
The Hailstorm was hosting North Carolina FC on Wednesday and trailing 1-0 in the first. In the 37th minute Irvin Parra got the Hailstorm back on level terms with a sensational goal that was set up by an even better first touch.

This isn’t the first time this summer that a goal from the lower leagues of U.S. Soccer has made an appearance on SportsCenter Top 10. The Des Moines Menace in USL2 made No. 3 in May with a stunning bicycle kick.
Wednesday’s game between the Hailstorm and North Carolina FC finished 1-1. The Hailstorm may only have nine points from seven games played in the club’s first season, but the newcomers have made their mark. Not only with the SportsCenter cameo, but with a massive upset against MLS giants Real Salt Lake in the Open Cup earlier this year.
Still not over this. We will never be over this. #HailYeah pic.twitter.com/O9GUJs4X62
