UPDATE: After an MRI scan it was confirmed that Pulisic didn't suffer any major injury and could return soon.
"Christian Pulisic: the MRI ruled out injuries to the left thigh flexor muscles. Last night he only suffered a contracture. His situation will be monitored day after day in view of Lecce where, however, Chukwueze should start."
Christian Pulisic was substituted in the 92nd minute after suffering an apparent hamstring injury during AC Milan’s 2-1 Champions League victory vs. PSG on Tuesday.
As Pulisic chased down a ball inside Milan’s half the American star went to ground clutching at his left hamstring. This was a non-contact injury.
He had missed Milan’s previous Serie A game on Saturday against Udinese due to muscle discomfort. Milan manager Stefano Pioli will be hoping the injury is minor, but he did confirm it was that same muscle issue that forced Pulisic out of the PSG game.
"It looked like a cramp, but it's in the same spot as last time. So we'll have to evaluate it," Pioli said.
This latest injury will be of concern with USMNT action next week in the Concacaf Nations League on Thursday.

He was able to walk off the field under his own power, but this is a story all too familiar for Pulisic. Injuries have plagued the 25-year-old’s young career.
This isn’t the first time he’s suffered a hamstring injury. Back in 2020 when he was in his “Lockdown Pulisic” form he sustained a major injury to his right hamstring which saw him out for over two months.
He suffered two other minor hamstring injuries during his time with Chelsea.
At the start of 2023 he picked up a knee injury that sidelined him for two months.
The severity of Pulisic’s latest hamstring setback will be learned soon. Milan defeated PSG 2-1 to keep their Champions League hopes alive.
