There are football fans. And then there are football FANS.
25-year-old Felipe Alvarez of Columbia falls into the latter category. Back in 2010, this upstanding young gentleman wanted to honor Atletico Nacional and fallen Colombian star Andres Escobar – who was gunned down after scoring an own-goal against Colombia in the 1994 World Cup.
While Alvarez was only 9 when Escobar was killed, the event left an indelible impression on him that, we guess, could only be matched by the indelible act of having Escobar's number and jersey tattooed on his torso. Drastic times call for drastic measures.
Check out the end result below, as well as a video that documents the whole crazy act. And, if you're into this sort of thing, check out this gallery of the worst football fan tattoos in history.
