If the rumors are to be believed, Manchester United are in hot pursuit of Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann, and, judging by Paul Pogba’s interview with FIFA.com, United’s world-record signing could help lure him to Old Trafford.
When asked about Griezmann’s nomination for FIFA’s Best Men’s Player award, Pogba responded, “I’m very proud of him. I know what he’s been through…He’s not that big, he’s small, he’s fast and agile and he scores goals. That makes him Griezmann, the very good player that he is.”
Pogba also revealed his joy in playing with Griezmann, saying: “He’s one of the funniest guys I’ve met and played with. He is someone who always has fun in training…He sometimes goes in goal, doing amazing saves, other times he’ll act like he’s Didier Drogba, holding the ball up.”
While Pogba insists that his dab celebration is more renowned around the world, he also admitted that Griezmann’s ‘Hotline Bling’ dance wasn’t far behind.
Pogba also spoke about his admiration for French legend/Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane, a player who was always “doing something special” and “beautiful”, but he took a moment to discuss his own special moments from his young career.
According to Pogba, these are the three best goals he’s ever scored.
