Serbian club Red Star Belgrade are in second place in the Serbian Super League, and there's a reason they’re not in first. Her name is Katarina Sreckovic.
Sreckovic, a Serbian TV reporter, said she was recently asked to leave the sidelines because the Red Star players “couldn’t concentrate” on the game due to her beauty. Yes, these professional athletes that are paid to perform on the pitch can’t focus because of a beautiful woman on the sideline. Sreckovic also said that the players struggled to answer her questions in interviews because they would just stare at her.
Could you imagine if this happened in the United States? An NFL or NBA player saying Erin Andrews can't be on the sidelines because she “distracts” them? Not in a million years! Well Katarina Sreckovic, you are more than welcome to bring your talents to America, because unlike the Serbs, we can handle pretty ladies asking us questions.
This isn't even the club's biggest problem. UEFA didn’t allow them to participate in the Champions League this year because they violated the UEFA Club Licensing and Financial Fair Play Regulations.
Specifically, the club didn’t pay a number of employees and clubs around Europe, which included player salaries, transfer fees, and social taxes. Seems to me like Katarina was the only good thing going on at Red Star Belgrade.
