Ricardo “Tuca” Ferretti just led Tigres to the 2015 Apertura Championship in Liga MX. It cost him dearly though. It cost him his mustache. Tuca bet his players that if they won the championship final against Pumas, he would shave his famous mustache.
With all the motivation that came from making that bet, Tigres would go on to win the Apertura Championship in a penalty shoot-out win against Pumas.
Tigres had won the first leg against Pumas 3-0 and in the second leg, they would go on to lose 4-1, resulting in a 4-4 aggregate tie that took both teams to a penalty shoot out.
Tigres would go on to win that penalty shoot-out, 4-2, in what was one of the most dramatic finals in Liga MX history. With that win and with Tuca being a man of his word, he had is mustache shaved off to fufill his promise.
The man who had the honor of shaving his stache was Hugo Ayala, who showed no remorse.
