Having one of the worst seasons in his young career, Eden Hazard could be looking to trade that deep blue kit for an all-white kit in the Spanish capital. Before this season, Hazard was one of the top young talents in all of Europe, especially the summer of his big move to Chelsea.
Racking up 49 goals in 162 games as well as a few trophies his first couple of seasons, Hazard was the new face of Chelsea FC. Unfortunately, a poor season for Hazard has taken all that from the young Belgian.
A transfer to Madrid would rejuvenate Hazard’s career and give him a clean slate to work with. With new manager Zinedine Zidane, who’s quite fond of the playmaking winger and the feeling is mutual. With Zidane ready to build a new team to suite his style of play, Hazard could really flourish in Madrid.
The deal could go down in a few different ways, one being a hefty money deal that Hazard couldn’t possibly pass up. Isco and James Rodriguez haven’t risen up to their highest potential and have been hit or miss in the games they have played so a potential swap or trade + money deal could be on the horizon.
The only thing that could stop this deal form going through besides Hazard himself is Madrid’s transfer ban, which is similar to what happened at Barcelona a few years back. Madrid have had it suspended, in hopes that the process will continue into the summer and they will serve their ban the following winter transfer window. We could see a lot of big names, not just Hazard, come into the Spanish capital this summer if the ban starts in the winter.
What do you guys think will happen?
