We’re less than a month out from the beginning of the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France, and the USWNT will begin on June 11 when opening Group F play against Thailand at the Stade Auguste-Delaune in Reims.
Coverage of the tournament will be provided by FOX (English-language) and Telemundo (Spanish-language), with all 52 matches being made available live on both networks. Fox will air 22 matches (a new high for the Women’s World Cup on broadcast television), 27 will be on FS1 and three more will be shown on FS2.
Yesterday, FOX debuted its centerpiece commercial for the event, narrated by American actress Carrie Coon, featuring the likes of Alex Morgan, Megan Rapinoe, Carli Lloyd, Tobin Heath and Becky Sauerbrunn, who reportedly was left with a bloodied knee after attempting take after take of that crunching tackle you see in the video above.
