“Our country is in serious trouble. We’re having people coming in through the border that are not people that we want,” says Donald Trump in an audio clip from the Republican presidential candidate that’s being used to promote this summer’s Copa America Centenario.

The images and text that go with the audio make the speech, for the first time, seem reasonable. Marcos Rojo, Pablo Zabaleta, Lionel Messi and Javier Mascherano are seen disembarking from a plane, presumably landing on American soil for this summer’s tournament. The United States is indeed in serious trouble.

So, how does one of the Premier League’s greatest talents improve his game? By eliminating the one thing that’s holding him back: his boot's laces. On Saturday, Ozil will become the first Premier League footballer to wear laceless boots when he debuts the Adidas ACE 16+ Purecontrol cleats.

Last week, EA Sports released its new "Play Beautiful" commercial for FIFA 16 and, boy, is it a star-studded affair.

We could try to do justice to the ridiculousness of it by describing the celebrity players featured – Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero, Alex Morgan, Kobe Bryant to name a few – and stream-of-conscious flow of the action. But, instead, we'll just let you watch and bask in the awesome over-the-top-ness of it all.

The eyes of the nation have been on soccer for the past week, and deservedly so.

Last Sunday’s final between the United States Women’s National Team and Japan smashed all previous ratings records for soccer in the United States, never mind the fact that it was a broadcast of women’s soccer.

The new FIFA 16 trailer is out, and it features a very special narrator: Pele. Pele, for those of you who don't know (and maybe found this site by accident, since it's all about soccer?) is the best player of all time. 

Pele muses about the beauty of the beautiful game, and we get some shots of FIFA gameplay showing that beauty, like Messi scoring an amazing goal and Diego Costa getting into a shoving match with Jordan Henderson.

Will the real FIFA 16 be filled with as much beauty as this trailer? Only Pele knows.

The Japanese have outdone themselves with this TV spot for the 2015 Copa America in Chile. Is it weird? Absolutely. Racist? Maybe.
