I don't know what Ronaldinho's appearance fee is, but it was met by the World Soccer Hall of Fame in Pachuca, Mexico, on Tuesday night as the legendary Brazilian showed up and provided a short induction speech. No, I had no idea there was a World Soccer Hall of Fame in Pachuca either.

The fellow inductees of Ronaldinho's class were Italian defender Fabio Cannavaro, Spanish striker Raúl, Brazilian defender Roberto Carlos and Swedish coach Pia Sundhage. They weren't at the ceremony, but Ronaldinho was genuinely touched by the honor and fought back tears during his speech.

The show must go on, and Liga MX is ready to resume after the shocking brawl between Querétaro and Atlas fans on Saturday. Matchday 10 will start on Friday, curiously, with Querétaro visiting Necaxa with closed doors. There will be a few other thrilling matchups like the one between Cruz Azul and Pumas, but there is no doubt that the main course will be the Clásico Nacional between Chivas and América. 

The LA Galaxy put a damper on expansion side Charlotte FC's inaugural home game as Efraín Álvarez's late goal held up for a 1-0 win Saturday night before a Major League Soccer record crowd of 74,479.

The atmosphere and loudness of the huge crowd was the story of the night in North American soccer, but the Galaxy put on a better overall performance than the home team.

Mexico co-captain and Atlético Madrid midfielder Héctor Herrera will be joining the Houston Dynamo in July as his contract expires with the LaLiga giants at the end of the 2021-22 season. The Herrera Houston Dynamo move will be a free transfer with his contract running until 2025 and without a doubt the biggest in club history.
