Champions League Quarterfinals Goals - April 5, 2016

Champions League Quarterfinals kicked off today with Bayern Munich facing Benfica and Barcelona taking on fellow La Liga foes, Atletico Madrid. Fernando Torres opened the scoring for Atletico in the 25th minute, however he was sent off with his second yellow card 10 minutes later. Madrid was down to 10 men and Luis Suarez took advantage when he scored in the 63rd and 74th minute. Barcelona would hold on to the lead and win 2 - 1. Bayern Munich got off to a hot start as Arturo Vidal scored on a header in the 2nd minute. His goal would prove to be the winner.

This Player Got Sent Off For Fighting. Who He Tried To Fight Will Surprise You

Haris Hajradinovic is not a good teammate.

Here he is giving up a penalty when his teammates worked hard to play defense and not give up penalties, and then here he is doing something way worse than that and getting sent off.

Roma's Ultras Might Be The Scariest Of All The Ultras

Ultras are intimidating people by nature. Ultras who are already in prison are even more intimidating than regular ultras. Therefore, this group of AS Roma fans is really intimidating.

Pique: What Makes Messi Better Than Ronaldo, Makes Messi Different From Everyone

As Rio Ferdinand points out in his interview with Gerard Pique, Pique is one of the few players to have ever played with both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. As such, Pique has a rare perspective on what separates the two players, on who’s better and why. Ferdinand, being the competent interviewer he is, made sure to ask Pique his thoughts on who is better.

Dimitri Payet Is The Free-Kick King

Dimitri Payet has 13 goals in all competitions this year. Five of them are on free-kicks coming off of his golden right foot. Sure, there are a lot of amazing free-kick takers out there, but I'm going to go ahead and just give Payet the title of "Free-Kick King". His right footed curling rockets have been giving goalkeepers fits since his return from an ankle injury in January and he's been key in keeping West Ham in the hunt for a top four finish.  Go ahead a watch all of his golazo's from set peices this year. The best one, probably his rip from 30+ yards out against Russia.

This Team Tried To Combat Racism In the Most Cringeworthy Way Possible

After two Sudanese refugees who play for Deinster SV in Germany were targets of racial abuse, the team decided to speak out, digitally altering the team photo so the players appeared to be in blackface and posting it on Facebook.

The Facebook post read (translation via Goal.com):

Does It Actually Matter That Gabi Agbonlahor Smoked Shisha?

The BBC has reported that Aston Villa have suspended Gabi Agbonlahor indefinitely. The veteran forward was pictured smoking a shisha pipe while on holiday in Dubai, and the club has suspended him from playing, pending an internal investigation. Here's the thing about that though: Does it really matter?

Who Is Most Valuable To His National Team: Messi, Suarez Or Neymar?

The Barcelona trident of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar – or MSN – is probably the best attacking force in soccer history. The unbelievable chemistry of the trio combined with the outrageous individual skills they all possess makes MSN unstoppable. Yet, for all their unbelievable achievements with Barcelona, success at the national level has evaded all of them. Sure, Suarez has a Copa America under his belt, and Neymar won the Confederation's Cup, but these are small potatoes compared to the ultimate prize: the World Cup.

He Died In 2006, And Just Beat Cristiano Ronaldo In A Popularity Contest

Cristiano Ronaldo is arguably the most popular athlete in the world. He has 53.3 million Instagram followers, 41.3 million Twitter followers, and an absurd 110 million Facebook followers. With that kind of following, you would think he would be a shoo-in to win any sort of online popularity contest, especially one centered around the world of football as Goal.com’s Legends World Cup was.
