Who do you think is better at kicking something, Carli Lloyd or Vince Wilfork?

The producers of HBO show "Hard Knocks" endeavored to find out the answer by having the World Cup Golden Ball winner take on the All-Pro defensive tackle in a friendly field goal-kicking contest. 

We won't spoil the ending, but we will say that Wilfork, who it can be assumed has far less kicking things experience than Lloyd impressed with his kicking things ablility.

We should have know this, though, because Vince Wilfork is always loose. He said so himself.

I can’t imagine what kind of frustrations referees have on a weekly basis: players are always giving them grief, managers always disagree and literally entire crowds end up hating them on a routine basis. If we are all supposed to fear the wrath of a quiet man, then a referee going off the deep end is just about the most terrifying thing I can imagine. And thanks to this La Liga official, I don’t have to imagine that hard anymore.

So, it turns out that when Barcelona isn’t kicking out it’s youth prospects because of it’s shady dealings, those youth prospects have an absolute blast playing soccer. And who wouldn’t when, at the age of 11, you can already do cooler s*** on the pitch than the vast majority of the world?

And the pilots let him bring a friend. Cristiano Ronaldo is so boss he gets to ride in the cockpit and he gets a plus-one. 

We have never seen anything quite like this. The concentration involved in this video of a boy juggling a soccer ball while solving a Rubik's cube is simply staggering. 

And here we are having trouble patting our heads and rubbing our stomachs at the same time.

Seriously, someone give this kid a job. If he has the powers of concentration to do what he does in this video, he can surely revive America's stumbling economy or cure cancer or something. Child labor laws be damned, we are looking at the savior of humanity here. Or he's just a kid who can do a cool trick.

Virgil Gomis is a name that we hadn't heard of before this morning. After having seen this video, though, we will likely not forget it for a while. We will certainly be on the lookout for it in the coming years as we follow the EPL, because, man, how can a person who can do this be stuck on a youth team that doesn't even play in the first division?

He will likely not be mired on Nottingham Forest's U-18 team for much longer, because he scored the goal of his life (which would be the goal of most players lives, really) to win against Ipswich Town's U-18 team, 3-2.

Youtube user Footballskills98 has been in the trick shot game for quite some time. We at The18 first saw him and his pristine looking backyard in a trick shot video that was nothing if not creative. Then we saw him take the cross bar challenge to a whole new level.

MLS fans have been ramping up the hooliganism lately, mostly in the New York/New Jersey area. This is not in itself surprising, as hooliganism emanates naturally from the New York/New Jersey area.

What is surprising, however is that one of New York's finest deployed a stun gun on a New York City FC fan outside a NYCFC game at Yankee Stadium. It's not entirely clear what the fan did to deserve having thousands of volts of electricity pulse through his body, but it must have been really bad, considering what New York City cops have to deal with on a daily basis. 

Depending on who you ask, Drake is either the greatest rapper of all time, or a representation of everything that is wrong with people today. That sounds like a harsh set of extremes, but, really, it’s no exaggeration.

It’s unfortunate that Drake might have added another set of harsh extremes for those to judge him when he uploaded this video of him shanking a kick and breaking a lamp in what we assume is his own back yard tennis court.
