England Women Deserve Better Than Lame Duck Phil Neville

On Friday, the English Football Association confirmed Phil Neville would resign as Three Lionesses manager in 2021.

That’s not nearly soon enough.

Phil Neville’s contract with the England women’s national team is set to expire after the UEFA Euro 2021 Women’s Championship, which was to be held in England. With that tournament pushed back to 2022 due to the novel coronavirus pandemic, there was speculation as to whether the FA would extend Neville’s contract.

Women’s Football Could Be Set Back Years By COVID-19

The recent progress of women's football is at risk of being undone as the sport is brought to a standstill by the novel coronavirus, the players union FIFPRO told Reuters television in on Friday.

FIFPRO said in a report published Thursday that the women's game could face an "existential threat" and many players could lose their livelihoods in the aftermath of the pandemic.

That Time Marta Obliterated The USWNT In The 2007 World Cup

A 21-year-old Brazilian superstar led the demise of the USWNT.

FS1 Here To Save Your Soul With Replays Of Last Two Women’s World Cup Finals

If you’re anything like me, you’re starting to go through sports withdrawal. Not since I became consciously aware of sports has there ever been a period so void of sporting events to watch (or play).

With almost every single sporting event postponed, canceled or suspended by the coronavirus pandemic, we’ve been reduced to watching replays of games to which we already know the outcome.

Becky Sauerbrunn Gives Advice That Everyone Needs To Hear In New Adidas Video

Becky Sauerbrunn is all-conquering. The 34-year-old is sitting on 174 caps and counting, she’s a two-time World Cup winner, an Olympic gold medalist and two-time NWSL champion. She’s been doing the damn thing for the USWNT for over a decade now, and she’s just joined forces with Christine Sinclair, Lindsey Horan and Tobin Heath on the Portland Thorns.
