Ni Ex Árbitros Se Ponen De Acuerdo – ¿Era Penal En Favor Del Pachuca En La Final De La Liga MX?

Con la misión de revertir un 2-0 para poder soñar con el título, Pachuca salió hecho un vendaval en la revancha de la final del Clausura 2022. A los ocho minutos, los Tuzos ya ganaban 1-0 y a los 20', un desborde de Erick Sánchez acabó con el defensa del Atlas Anderson Santamaría derribándolo dentro del área.

La sensación en el Estadio Hidalgo era que la jugada debía cobrarse como penal para Pachuca, pero luego de siete minutos de consulta con el VAR, el silbante Fernando Hernández decidió cobrar un polémico offside.

Obviamente, el debate ardió en redes sociales e incluso dividió la opinión entre ex árbitros de la Liga MX.

¿Era penal para Pachuca?

Una cosa clara en la jugada es que Anderson Santamaría hace contacto con el pie de Sánchez. La duda que surge es si ese contacto era suficiente o no para sancionar la pena máxima.

La caída de Sánchez es un poco a destiempo, pero probablemente reunía los argumentos suficientes para señalar el penalti.

Pero después de un largo análisis, Hernández acabó descartando la falta por una supuesta posición de adelanto de Romario Ibarra, quien supuestamente habría interferido en la acción defensiva de Santamaría, incluso cuando Sánchez nunca intentó conectar con Ibarra.

¿Insólito? Sumamente insólito. 

Lo curioso es que ni siquiera los expertos se pusieron de acuerdo a la hora de determinar si el cobro fue el correcto o no. 

Dentro de los que apoyaron la decisión de Hernádez estuvieron Armando Archundia, quien en la transmisión de Fox en México, aseguró que Ibarra sacó provecho de su posición fuera de juego para intervenir en la acción de Santamaría. Una posición similar fue la de Marco Antonio Rodríguez.

Quienes no estuvieron de acuerdo fueron Felipe Ramos Rizo y Francisco Chacón, quienes señalaron que debió cobrarse penal. Chacón incluso fue más allá al llamar la situación un "descaro" y una "deshonra para el arbitraje".
