There's a new streaming service in town. Its name is ViX and claims to bring "the world's largest offering of Spanish-language entertainment, news and sports content." And with sports, obviously, there's a lot of soccer implied. What games and leagues are on ViX? Here we are to answer the question.
What is ViX?
ViX is the new streaming service of Televisa and Univision and both upgrades and increases the offering of what we used to know as Prende TV. The platform will be available in the United States, Mexico and several other countries in Latinoamerica, for free, starting Thursday, March 31.

It is compatible with Apple iOS, tvOS, Android mobile, Android TV OS devices, Amazon Fire TV, Roku, Samsung Smart TVs and via the web on vix.com.
"Today marks a new dawn in Spanish-language streaming with the launch of ViX, adding another giant step in the transformation of the new TelevisaUnivision," said Pierluigi Gazzolo, president and chief transformation officer of TelevisaUnivision.
"Hundreds of millions of Spanish speakers in the U.S. and most countries in Latin America will have a dedicated streaming platform that is made for Spanish speakers and made by Spanish speakers," he added.
What soccer leagues are on ViX?
Between telenovelas, news, movies and entertainment shows, ViX will also offer a ton of soccer. The offering, however, will be different depending on the country where you live due to, you know, copyrights.
In the United States
ViX promises to broadcast nearly 1,000 free live games to your screens. All this includes:
- Premium access to select Liga MX games and exclusive coverage of more than 75 games from Liga de Expansion and Liga MX Femenil
- Premium access to select UEFA Champions League matches
- U.S. Women's National Team games
- Over 500 games from top South American leagues, including Brasileirão Championship, Argentina’s Liga Profesional de Fútbol, Colombian Primera División, and Perú Liga 1, for a limited time only
It is necessary to clarify that "premium" here is about the quality of the product, and the "limited time only" is related to the fact that in midyear 2022, there will be a ViX+.
What about the Mexican national team? If the game is broadcasted on Univision, it will be available on ViX, too. The World Cup will not be available on ViX United States because those rights belong to Fox Sports and Telemundo.
Finally, ViX also launched a 24/7 sports channel called Zona TUDN. Part of its offering includes the following shows:
- TUDN News: Hosted daily by Valeria Marin and Memo Shutz. Monday through Friday at 10 p.m. ET.
- Tiro Libre (Free Kick): A relaxed and authentic discussion-based show that addresses soccer. Hosted by Alex de la Rosa.
- TUDN Picks: The first-ever live sports betting show in Spanish. Hosted by Alfredo Tame airs Monday through Friday at 7 p.m. ET.

In Mexico
Besides Liga MX, Liga de Expansion and Liga Femenil MX, ViX says it will be the digital destination of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. The coverage starts with a live streaming of the draw of the tournament, on April 1, featuring Adriana Monsalve, Andrés Vaca, Hristo Stoichkov, Julio Ibáñez, Paco Villa, Rafa Márquez, Toño de Valdés and Javier Zanetti live from Doha.
During the World Cup, there will be a live simulcast of at least 30 matches, plus exclusive content and in-depth analysis by their team of experts within the Zona TUDN channel.
