The end of the trip is here. This week, Liga MX will decide the champion of the Clausura 2022 in an unprecedented final between Pachuca and Atlas.
After a long 70-year drought, Atlas was crowned champion six months ago and now is trying to double dip for an historic two titles in a row run. On the other hand, Pachuca is looking for its first success since 2016 and its seventh championship in Liga MX history.

How to watch Liga MX final
- TV: Univision
- Streaming: TUDN, fuboTV
Depending on what team is playing at home, Liga MX broadcasting can sometimes be a little bit confusing. However, this time there is no need for mental gymnastics: both games will be broadcasted in Spanish through Univision and TUDN platforms.
Lineups
- Atlas: Camilo Vargas; Anderson Santamaría, Hugo Nervo, Emanuel Aguilera (Gaddy Aguirre); José Abella, Jeremy Márquez, Aldo Rocha, Luis Reyes, Aníbal Chalá; Julio Furch, Julián Quiñones.
The only headache for coach Diego Cocca is Emanuel Aguilera's status. The experienced CB was injured in the last game vs. Tigres, and fans are crossing their fingers to see him back.
- Pachuca: Óscar Ustari; Kevin Álvarez, Gustavo Cabral, Miguel Tapias, Daniel Aceves; Erick Sánchez, Luis Chávez, Víctor Guzmán; Avilés Hurtado, Nicolás Ibáñez, Romario Ibarra.
Los Tuzos have the whole squad available for the game vs. Atlas. The only concern is Erick Sánchez, who didn't end the semifinal against América feeling 100 percent.
Prediction Pachuca vs. Atlas
- Champion: Pachuca
There are two simple reasons for choosing Los Tuzos. One is that they ended first in the regular season of the Clausura 2022. The second one? Since coach Guillermo Almada came to Mexico, he has never lost against Atlas: in six games (five with Santos Laguna), he won three and drew the rest.
It is true Almada lost the only final he managed (Santos Laguna vs. Cruz Azul), while Diego Cocca won the only one he played (Atlas vs. León). However, I'll keep my prediction: Pachuca will be the Clausura 2022 champion.
