Spanish fourth-division side C.D. Palencia just unveiled their new uniform, and trust us when we say it includes the ugliest jersey of all time.
Don't trust us? Have a look for yourself:
With this unveiling, C.D. Palencia have officially set a new standard of awful with their team kits. The first thing we thought of when we saw these jerseys was the movie "This is Spinal Tap" – in particular, the scene where Christopher Guest explains that the skeleton shirt he is wearing is an exact replica of his own skeletal structure. That was a movie. This is real life.
Fear not C.D. Palencia. You are not the first to make an awful decision with your team's uniform, and you certainly won't be the last.
if you look across the landscape of sports history, there are plenty of other examples of ugly jerseys. The Vancouver Grizzlies had a pretty awful jersey. The Houston Astros in the 1980s had one too. If you look at college sports, it seems like an arms race between Baylor, Maryland and Oregon to come up with the next ugliest jersey to roll out each year. But, still, this muscle-bound uniform takes the cake.
OH MY WORD!?!? The new C.D. Palencia kit for next season. What fan is going to want to wear this in public? pic.twitter.com/qMgeUixl7Z

We hope that for your fans' sake and your players' sake you decide very quickly to get back to the drawing board.
In honor of this awful decision, we thought it might be fun to see a blast from the past in our home state of Colorado: the glorious uniforms of the (possibly) forgotten Colorado Caribous. We're not 100% percent sure why they have tassels.
We assume it has something to do with cowboys, but hey classy is classy!
