Must be nice to be Austin Welch.
The 12-year-old phenom from Kentucky recently returned from the Netherlands, where he had been training with Feyenoord. The Feyenoord coaches had spotted Welch at a camp they held in Kentucky (who knew Feyenoord held camps in Kentucky, of all places? ) and invited the youngster to their home base, in Rotterdam.
It seems like Welch had a good time in the Netherlands. He told TopDrawer Soccer that the coaches there want him to come back again. We hope he obliges. The USA could use more young talents like Austin.
