Super Bowl 50 was the main sporting event of the year so far, and the eyes of the whole world were on the game — won by the Denver Broncos. But, truth be told, most people from outside the U.S. can’t really relate to the players and the game itself.
With this likely in mind, the Bundesliga official website decided they would make a gallery with some of their most important names in the league, and comparing them with NFL players.
And of course, the face of the gallery was Javier "Chicharito" Hernández. The Bayer 04 striker has made a huge impact since his arrival last summer, and that’s why the league compared him with Odell Beckham Jr. as they both became game changers in their respective competition.

Next in line is Bundesliga’s top scorer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The African Player of the Year was compared with NFL’s MVP and Superbowl runner-up Cam Newton. Both of them are into superheroes. The Panthers quarterback loves Superman, while Aubameyang is a big fan of Batman.

Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski is called the unstoppable force in the Bundesliga and this is the reason why he is compared with arguably the best wide receiver in the NFL, Antonio Brown. Both players are strong, talented and when they have the slightest chance they will score.

Hakan Calhanoglu is very well know for being the best rated player in free kicks by FIFA 16, and that’s why the Bundesliga compared him with Seahawks’ kicker, Steven Hauschka. Both of them have the ability to place the football wherever they want to.

Peyton Manning just won Superbowl 50 at the age of 39. He is a living legend and an ageless wonder, just like Claudio Pizarro. Bundesliga compared the Peruvian's long and successful career with that of the Denver Broncos’ quarterback.

Players would be lost without the right guide. So they also added a coach in the mix and they compare Thomas Tuchel with one of the most successful coaches in the game: Bill Belichick.

Belichick coaches Rob Gronkowski, who the Bundesliga compared to Bayern Munich sweeper-keeper Manuel Neuer.

And supporters got in on the action too!

There you have it, what do you think, are the Bundesliga comparisons correct? What other soccer players do you think have NFL counterparts?
