“Chucky” Lozano is on fire. He wakes up, he scores. He brushes his teeth, he scores. He calls his grandma to see how she’s doing, he scores. He plays for PSV Eindhoven, he scores.
Maybe it is because Halloween is drawing near and “Chucky”, the murderous doll, is giving Lozano some kind of supernatural inspiration. Maybe it’s just because Hirving Lozano is Mexico’s foremost rising star and he will make Chicharito look like a schoolboy in the near future. The fact is Lozano simply cannot stop scoring.
Watch him put the ball in the back on the net as PSV took on Volendam in the Dutch Cup Thursday.
Last weekend, Lozano matched Patrick Kluivert's record from the 1994-1995 season as he scored against Heracles. With that goal, "Chucky" became the third player ever to score in six of the season's first seven matches. The tally could have been even better for the Mexican had he not been suspended one game as a consequence of getting a red card on week four.
With this goal, former Pachuca winger increased his scoring streak to 8 goals in 8 matches. Also with this Chucky Lozano goal, PSV managed to beat Volendam 0-3.
Some PSV fan has now even made a flag with Mexico’s colors featuring an image of “Chucky” (the murderous doll in the movie Child’s Play).

The “Chucky” frenzy is on and I expect it to become even more lit as we get closer to Halloween.
When and how will this scoring streak end? With “Chucky” scoring a last minute goal for Mexico in the 2022 World Cup maybe?
