The MLS is, in many ways, the “Average Joe” of professional soccer. It’s definitely not the Premier League, it doesn’t have one or two super teams like La Liga or the Bundesliga, but it does have some money and respectable talent. What does a day in the life of “some money and respectable talent” look like? Pretty great, we have to say.
Danny Cruz, as he says in the video, didn’t start playing soccer until he was a freshman in high school. Now, he is making his living off the game. He drives an Audi, has a nice apartment in the city, two dogs, and a fiance. Oh, and his trainer has him on a “high fat” diet, which sounds like the most delicious diet ever.
Not bad, right? It makes us wish our “respectable talents” were as financially appreciated as his. Then again, we don’t run the risk of embarrassing ourselves in front of thousands of people, and an injury cannot ruin the rest of our careers.
You can have your swank lifestyle, Danny. Some things just aren’t for everyone.
