Leicester City are looking to seal a deal for Polish star Bartosz Kapustka as they seek to strengthen their side in the wake of uncertainty surrounding the futures of their star players.
N'Golo Kante has already left for Chelsea, and now it appears as if Riyad Mahrez wants to leave the club as well, with Arsenal said to be close to sealing a deal for the Algerian.
The popular opinion is that Leicester's performance next season will be entirely dependant on whether they can keep their star players or not. Mahrez and Kante were two of the stand-out performers as the Foxes raced to the title, and their absence could be, so the theory goes, potentially devastating.
However, Leicester City are not exactly sitting on their laurels. They've already signed speed-demon Ahmed Musa from CSKA Moscow, and Nampalys Mendy, a defensive midfielder from Nice with a great range of passing (especially with long balls over-the-top).
Both these players are a perfect fit for Leicester's style of play, but neither offer the mercurial individual talents of Kante and Mahrez. That's where the latest transfer target, Bartosz Kapustka, could make the difference.
The young Polish star has been the subject of two bids from the Foxes, and is believed to be close to sealing a move. Kapustka, who only just turned 19, impressed during Euro 2016 with Poland, and is widely regarded as the country's brightest young talent.
Kapustka is primarily a winger, but is smart enough to play anywhere behind the striker. He has incredible stamina, intelligence and technique for someone so young, and has become an integral part of his club team Cracovia.
If Leicester can finalize the transfer, they will have completed another sensational piece of business, as Kapustka looks to have all the tools in his locker to succeed. Per the Daily Mail, Leicester have offered a revised £7.2 million bid to Cracovia for the youngster, plus add-ons, and the Polish club look set to accept. However, Leicester will have to be wary as both Southampton and Everton are keeping a close eye on the deal, and could try to hijack it.
