According to The Independent, Louis Van Gaal is no longer the manager at Manchester United.
LVG gone. Hoek, Stuivenberg and Reckers also out

Rumours started to swirl around after the Dutchman led his team to an FA Cup victory on Saturday over Crystal Palace.
In his press conference after the game, Louis Van Gaal seemed adamant that he would be at the club next season, but upon his arrival at the Aon Training Complex at Carrington on Monday morning, news started spreading that the Dutchman had indeed lost his job. Assistant coach Albert Stuivenberg, goalkeeping coach Frans Hoek and performance analyst Max Reckers are also set to follow Van Gaal out the exit door. The future of Ryan Giggs remains uncertain.
Ex-Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has been widely tipped to replace Van Gaal since the day he left Stamford Bridge, and photographs that show movers outside his London home seem to confirm that he is indeed on the move.

Manchester United fans have become fed up with Van Gaal's tactics and hard-headedness, with a small section of fans booing him during his end-of-season speech at Old Trafford. Football writer Mark Ogden also revealed in an expose that Van Gaal had also lost the respect of the dressing room, with many accusing him of being too strict and affording "special treatment" to certain players.
Despite clinching the FA Cup, Van Gaal has led Manchester United through an extremely disappointing season and at times they appear to have gone backwards. They were knocked out in the Champions League group stage, beaten by rivals Liverpool in the Europa League, and failed to make the top-4, even with the struggles of Manchester City above them.
The club has still not released a statement, although the official Twitter account — which regularly posts every hour on a normal day — has not tweeted in seven hours at the time of writing. So, for now, it will remain football's worst-kept secret.
Update: Manchester United have released a statement on Van Gaal's firing.
