Mexican striker Raul Jimenez has been what you'd call a "slow starter" so far during his time at Portuguese club Benfica. Jimenez, who joined Benfica during the summer from Atletico Madrid, has three goals in the Premeira Liga, two in the Champions League, and has added to his total with a goal (his second) in the Portuguese League Cup.
And it was a beauty. Right out of the "cheeky striker tricks" playbook.

OK, so it wasn't exactly a rocket, and is barely missed getting cleared off the line, but it was great pressing work and a nice touch. Jimenez deserved the goal.
Jimenez has been playing better for Benfica than he did for Atletico Madrid, for which he only scored one goal last season. He now has seven for Benfica, who sit second in the Premeira Liga table, two points behind leaders Sporting CP.
Benfica won the match against Moreirense 4-1, and have a good chance of winning the competition after fellow Portuguese giants Sporting bowed out of the competition.
