The USL Championship title game set for Sunday was called off because of a COVID-19 outbreak among one the teams.
The Tampa Bay Rowdies had multiple positive COVID-19 tests confirmed early Saturday and will not play the Phoenix Rising FC for the league title. Both teams will be named their respective conference champions instead.

"The decision has been made for the health and safety of everyone involved after multiple persons on the Tampa Bay Rowdies covered persons list tested positive for COVID-19 upon a second round of rapid testing on Saturday morning at the Tampa Bay Rays' medical facilities," the league said in a statement.
The USL Championship, which fields 28 teams in the United States, is one level below MLS.
The news of the USL Championship title game being canceled comes two days after the USL League One title game was called off because of a separate COVID-19 outbreak. Union Omaha and the Greenville Triumph were set to Friday until the Omaha side reported multiple positive COVID-19 tests. The Triumph was awarded the title based on earned points per game during the season.
