Which Players Will Head To China This Summer?

After this winter's mass exodus of attacking talent to the Glorious People's Republic of China, we were left with two feelings: confusion at what had just happened and wonder at what will come next. Here are 10 players we think have a good chance of landing in the Far East.

Christian Benteke

He's been disappointing since he came to Liverpool, and elling him to China might be the only way for the Reds to make their money back.

Mario Balotelli

See above.

Hulk

There seems to be a pattern to these China transfers: a South American attacker who is either too old to feature regularly for their national team (Javier Pastore) or not quite good enough to be first-choice (Alex Teixeira). Or Jackson Martinez. That one still doesn't make sense to us (yes it does: money). Anyway, Hulk certainly fits that profile.

Fred

Screw it, let's just ship Fred to China. He doesn't even need to be on a team, just send him there.

Jefferson Montero

Hasn't been great at Swansea lately, plus he fits the profile. Maybe a change of scenery could be good for him?

Bryan Ruiz

Costa Rica's captain has never really had a bbig payday. That could change if China comes calling.

Carlos Bacca

With AC Milan struggling and due for an overhaul, it might be time for Bacca to switch continents.

Jonas

Not the biggest name on the list, but he could grow his name (and pocketbook) in China.

Claudio Pizarro

Peru's captain is getting older and could put a final pile of cash into the old retirement fund.

Gonzalo Jara

New rule: if you stick your finger up another player's butt we get to ship you off to China.
