Queretaro Are Into The Copa MX Final After Penalty Shootout

Queretaro vs. Toluca in the Copa MX semis was a classic goalkeepers' duel, which is a roundabout way of saying it was a 0-0 draw.

So hats off to Alfredo Talavera (Toluca) and Tiago Volpi (Queretaro), and no one else.

Both players earned clean sheets, saved penalties and even both scored penalties in the shootout. In the end, Volpi made one more save than Talavera, and so Queretaro advanced to the final (8-7), where they'll play the winner of tonight's Superclasico.

This Banger In Liga MX Will Make You Want To Exercise More

Jonathan Urretaviscaya excercises. that much we can tell from his long sprint down the field that turned into a golazo against Chivas Sunday. He ran from his own 18 to the Chivas 18 with the ball and still had the energy to neatly chip the keeper. We would have collapsed in a sad heap somewhere near the halfway line, which is one of many reasons we are not a professional soccer player.

For more on Urretaviscaya's goal, let's check in with The18 amazing goals correspondent Surprised Koala. Surprised Koala, what did you think of Urretaviscaya's goal?

Carlos Vela Scores, Is Quietly Having A Pretty Good Season

If Carlos Vela keeps playing the way he's been playing, Juan Carlos Osorio is going to have a lot to think about come November.

The Mexican striker scored the third goal in Real Sociedad's 3-0 win against Alaves with a slick finish.

Vela has three league goals so far this season for Sociedad.

Marco Fabian Scores, Helps Eintracht Earn Stunning Point Off Bayern Munich

Marco Fabian’s Bundesliga season went from good to great on Saturday after notching a goal and playing brilliantly throughout the match against Bayern Munich.

The Mexican international was unfortunate not to have two goals on the day after seeing one of his shots strike the inside of the post. However, his 78th minute equalizer earned Eintracht Frankfurt an unlikely point against Bayern Munich.

Giovani Dos Santos And Oribe Peralta Combine To Lead Mexico To Victory

Mexico’s final tune-up before their World Cup qualifying clash with the USA on November 11th ended in a 1-0 victory over Panama.

For spectators at Toyota Park in Illinois, it was a relatively uneventful night with a largely experimental Mexico side grafting out a victory.

The highlight of the beginning proceedings was probably a mariachi version of “The Star-Spangled Banner”.

Valencia Reportedly Preparing Massive Bid To Lure Chicharito To La Liga

With Spanish giants Valencia currently sitting in the relegation zone of the La Liga table, multi-billionaire chairman Peter Lim is reportedly set on bringing Mexican international Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez to the third largest city in Spain by triggering his £40.7 million release clause.

Valencia’s horrid start to the season resulted in the early firing of Pako Ayestaran, but Los Che have acted quickly to replace him with former Fiorentina and Italy manager Cesare Prandelli.

Chicharito Scored His 5th Goal In His Last 3 Games Saturday

Last weekend, in the Bundesliga, Chicharito had a hat trick against Mainz. Mid-week, in the Champions League, he scored against Monaco in a loss.

Saturday, against Borussia Dortmund, he scored again.

Giovani Dos Santos Will Get His Chance For Mexico

After a one-year hiatus, Giovani Dos Santos is finally back in the fold for the Mexican National Team.

El Tri's Colombian manager, Juan Carlos Osorio, called up Dos Santos for the first time since the 2015 Gold Cup, teaning the upcoming friendlies against New Zealand and Panama will be the first chance we get to see the LA Galaxy forward playing under Osorio.

In terms of performance, Dos Santos’s call-up is no surprise, as he’s having a fantastic season in LA. So far he has scored 14 goals and dished out four assists this season in 26 MLS games.
