Arsenal extended its unbeaten streak in all competitions to 17 with a 2-1 win over Bournemouth in Premier League action Sunday, and the game’s opener was one of our favorites from the month of November.

Jefferson Lerma — Bournemouth’s record $32 million summer signing — scored his first goal for the club against Newcastle United back on Nov. 10, but today, he was the unfortunate scorer of a banging own goal.

With 30 minutes on the clock, the Colombian laced a side-volley that flew past Asmir Begovic in goal. It’s a spectacular finish in every sense of the word.  

Chelsea hadn’t lost in any competition this season before facing London rival Tottenham at Wembley on Saturday. Then Spurs ripped the Blues apart with two early goals and a stunning third for an impressive, deserved 3-1 victory. 

Dele Alli scored in the eighth minute and Harry Kane doubled Spurs’ lead in the 16th minute before Son Hueng-Min scored a rip-roaring third in the 54th minute to put the game away. 

The stadium applause was deafening and presumably thousands of kangaroos and koalas bowed their heads in respect Tuesday as Tim Cahill came on for his last international cap. The 38-year-old made his 108th and final appearance in his side’s 3-0 win over Lebanon in Sydney.
