Let’s be real here: Women’s soccer has a long way to go to receive media coverage as widespread as men’s soccer, to get even half the coverage it deserves. Sadly, many organizations simply don’t put the necessary resources into what accounts for half of the beautiful game. But there has never been a better time to support women’s football — and for those who want to know how to watch women's soccer in the U.S., it’s never been easier.

With all due respect to the folks who work at NBC, we here at The18 are not done echoing the anger and disappointment at the broadcaster’s abrupt abandonment of soccer fans across the U.S. While we won’t go so far as to cry #PeacockOut (the streaming service has its place), we can’t stay quiet over the fact NBC’s greed is getting in the way of our enjoyment of the Premier League.

For years, NBC has promoted “My PL Mornings,” encouraging Americans to wake up early, turn on the TV and watch the English Premier League. I, like many in this country, obliged, shuffling out of bed while still half awake, stumbling to the couch and turning the TV on to NBCSN to watch the Prem.

Alas, as with many things in 2020, this beloved ritual has come to an end.
