AS Roma Pays Tribute To The Genius Of Legendary Film Composer Ennio Morricone

Born in Rome on Nov. 10, 1928, legendary composer Ennio Morricone died in Rome on July 6, 2020, at the age of 91. Morricone composed over 400 scores for cinema and TV, but it’s his score for The Good, the Bad and the Ugly that’s considered “one of the greatest and most original” in film history.

For our younger readers, you’ll likely recognize one of the tracks — “The Ecstasy of Gold” — from the introduction to Jackass Number Two.

beIN Sports Finally Shares Video Of Absurd, Puskás-Worthy Overhead Kick

Sometimes it seems to me like beIN Sports is actively working to safeguard LaLiga from American viewers. Much of the television network’s coverage since 2012 — rather than celebrating a golden era that’s included Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo going head-to-head in sport’s greatest individual and team rivalry — has been hellbent on being as unappealing as possible.*

Lukaku Swearing At Victor Moses Presents Another Prime Reason For Ending Fake Crowd Noise

We here at The18 have made our position on fake crowd noise as clear as can be: Get rid of it. I would rather have the Disney Channel laugh track in the background than have to listen to poorly timed chants and celebrations.

It’s been more than a month since European football returned to our TV screens following an eight-week absence because of the novel coronavirus pandemic. Watching the beautiful game has been a pleasant distraction from the anxiety caused by a deadly disease and the pain of a fight for racial equality that has enveloped the country.

The deals announced on Monday are slightly less lucrative than the existing four-year deal that ends next season. Worth $5.18 billion, that was an 85% jump from the previous agreement.

AMSTERDAM — The Dutch men's and women's national football team players said on Friday they would no longer grant interviews to a popular TV show due to remarks made by a commentator mocking an anti-racism protester.

In a statement first published on Twitter by men's team captain Virgil van Dijk, the players said they would no longer speak with the Veronica Inside program after the host compared a prominent Dutch black activist to "Black Pete."
