On Sunday night, sporting power couple Zach and Julie Ertz were both in action — Zach with the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship game and Julie with the USWNT in a friendly against Denmark. With the NFL game kicking off at 6:40 p.m. ET and the women’s match beginning at 7:30, the two went about their business without knowing what was transpiring across the country.
Julie, who was named the 2017 USWNT Player of the Year by U.S. Soccer, continued her remarkable form by scoring her 15th international goal. It turned out to be the match-winner in the United States’ 5-1 victory over Euro 2017 runners-up Denmark in San Diego, California.

Over in Philadelphia, Eagles tight end Zach was heavily contributing in a similar beatdown of the Minnesota Vikings. Zach finished with eight receptions for 93 yards in the 38-7 victory. He’ll now be contesting Super Bowl LII on February 4 against the New England Patriots.
The two, who were married on March 26, 2017, were informed of the others’ accomplishments directly following the games. Here’s Julie’s reaction to the news.

The two then shared a hugely successful FaceTime call.
