Kei Kamara has a resume that Pope Francis would applaud. He was awarded the MLS Fair Play Award in 2007, and, last year, Kamara was given the distinction of MLS Works Humanitarian of the Year. Kamara has been active in working for peace in his native war-torn Sierra Leone, but on Saturday, he was the guilty party in a conflict with his own teammate, Federico Higuain.

Kamara’s Columbus Crew were leading the Montreal Impact 3-1 in the 51st minute. After a foul by Montreal in the penalty area, Columbus were awarded a penalty with which to give themselves a three-goal cushion.

Last Tuesday during a match between Pumas UNAM and Deportivo Tachira FC, a great thing happened. We're not talking about a golazo or a comeback or a fight, we're talking about a pitch invader. And what a good pitch invader he was.

This Sunday is the long awaited season premiere of HBO's hit drama Game of Thrones, the epic tale of one land's struggle for power.  The thing that makes the show so appealing is how different each character is in the cast, and all the hardships they endure in their lives at every turn due to man or woman's desire for the need to succeed.  The cast is full of great characters, some loved, some hated, but all unique in their own right, but when it comes to soccer who is who?

Minnesota United FC captain and defender Justin Davis has created one of the most enviable traditions in the world of soccer. Beginning in September of last year, Davis began the custom after scoring the go-ahead goal against Indy Eleven at Minnesota’s National Sports Center.

Sprinting towards the supporters in the Budweiser Beer Garden at the North End of the stadium, Davis began motioning towards revellers in the section and asking for a sip.

FC Kansas City, the reigning champs of the NWSL, got a little shock when they received their shiny new championship rings.

FCKC, who have won the NWSL in two of the league's three seasons (season four just started), shared a nice photo of their championship rings on Twitter (the tweet has since been deleted). But something was a little off.

The Daily mail made a list of the top 10 worst club badges. Then the fun started. Zenit St. Petersburg, a club that appeared on that list, took issue with their appearance on the list, and instigated the saltiest Twitter beef we've seen so far this calendar year.

Brazil, the land of Samba, is the birthplace of the football style known as "Joga Bonito." "Play beautiful." Brazil, supposedly, is where the beautiful game is at its most beautiful. It's where sport becomes art, where substance and style are one and the same, where the field is a canvass, and the feet are the paintbrushes.

Over the weekend, Rennes vs Guingamp proved why PSG have basically run away with the Ligue 1 title this year. In case you hadn't noticed, Paris St. Germain have done pretty well in Ligue 1. They are 28 points ahead of second-placed Monaco, which incidentally, is the same amount of points that seperate Manchester United (5th) and Newcastle United (19th) in the Premier League.

Aston Villa have had a terrible season. They've already been relegated from the Premier League and are as hopeless as a football club can possibly be.

No Villa player has personified this hopelessness as much as Joleon Lescott. The defender tweeted a picture of a cool car immediately following a Villa loss and blamed it on ghosts in his pocket.
