Paul Aguilar Celebrated His Goal By Diving Head-First Into A Wall

After the goal he scored Saturday, Paul Aguilar can celebrate however he wants. He scored the biggest goal in one of the biggest games of the year for his country, and that gives him a significant amount of leeway in terms of whether or not we make fun of his goal celebration.

And, it appears to us, Aguilar was so deliriously happy after the goal that he lost all sense of reason/safety/self-preservation.

Paul Aguilar's Goal vs. the USA

The US-Mexico rivalry has seen some pretty memorable moments, but Paul Aguilar's Goal vs the US to clinch El Tri a spot in the confederations cup may be the most memorable to date. Prior to this match the US fan base was calling for Jurgen Klinsmann's head should the stars and stripes not earn a victory, and that is exactly what has happened since the loss. Frustration has now surrounded Klinsmann's program after a poor performance in the Gold Cup and the lack luster result this past Saturday.

How An All-Time Great Manager Won Over An All-Time Great Player

In a rare moment of emotion, Cristiano Ronaldo revealed how former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Reguson won the Portuguese superstar over: compassion.

Really, it's not compassion, it's just acting like a person. You should be able to visit your dad in the hospital without work standing in the way. A lot of managers nowadays it seems feel that football is the only thing that matters. Everything else is secondary.

This Phantom Goal Will Make You Believe In Magic. Until You See How It Happened.

A phantom goal sounds like a power up in Mario Soccer (or should I say Super Mario Strikers), as in it sounds like the ball turned into some sort of ghost and diffused into the back of the net. It sounds pretty sweet, really, but sadly there are no ghosts involved in this real life phantom goal.

It was scored by Bayer Leverkusen’s Stefan Kiessling against Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga, and while there are no ghosts, it certainly seems to defy explanation at first.

He Always Wanted Tickets To See El Tri. You Won’t Be Able To Stop Watching When He Gets Them.

This next clip goes beyond a simple rivalry between two countries; it is bigger than Mexico vs the United States. Think hard on something that you have wanted in life, and then ask yourself getting it could ever compare to the emotional high this man hits.

This Donald Trump USMNT Video Will Make You Want To Root For Mexico

Now, we are not television executives, but we just watched FOX Soccer's Donald Trump USMNT commercial, and inserting a political figure who has come out strongly against Mexican immigrants and advocated for the closing of the border (whatever that means – hang a "hey this border's closed" sign on it, I guess?) into the middle of a rivalry match between the USA and Mexico for the purpose of hyping up USA fans wasn't the best idea of all time.

Shane Long's Goal vs Germany

Ireland hadn't been in a major tournament since 2002, but now thanks to Shane Long's Goal vs Germany, the Irish are close to solidifying their spot in their second straight Euro Cup. The lads from the Emerald Isle beat the defending world champions in Dublin yesterday and we couldn't be more excited about how close they are to qualifying for the Euro. They haven't sealed the deal yet, as they have a match with Poland on Sunday. With a win, the Irishman will officially qualify for the Euro. With a loss, they will enter a playoff match to decide their fate.

Ronaldo Scored His Best Goal Ever Against Spain. How It Got Taken Away Is Infuriating.

All of you remember Lionel Messi’s goal against Bayern Munich in last year’s Champions League semifinals. It was an absolute destruction of one of the world’s best teams, and arguably the greatest goal Messi ever scored. You might be surprised to find out that Ronaldo had a similar goal. It was the best Ronaldo goal ever scored, or it would have been, had it counted.
