Louis van Gaal Teaches Reporter A Lesson

We get it. People want to feel like they are informed and up-to-date with the world around them. That is why journalism exists. The news, and the journalists that contribute to it, keep the general public “in-the-know.” It is a noble cause when you think of it in such a way. It is a public service.

Journalists have a privilege and a responsibility to ask the questions that need to be answered. If they ask the right question to the right person, even a lack of a answer can sometimes be enough to inform the world about what is really happening.

Zidane Has A 12-Year-Old Son. And He Scores Goals Exactly Like His Dad.

Theo Zidane, the son of Zinedine Zidane, is following in his father's footsteps in more ways than one. Theo doesn’t just play for Real Madrid like his father, he scores goals like him, too.

Theo played for the Real Madrid U12s this past Sunday during a 3-0 win over Espanyol, and the goal he scored is easily - ok, no, down right scarily similar to one his father scored back in his day. Just take a look. Here is Theo’s goal:

In Memoriam: A Look Back At The Soccer Stars Who Died In 2014

2014 saw the deaths of some prominent figures in the soccer community. We here at The18 thought it would be a good idea to honor those who passed away this calendar year with mini bios on each of the departed. The soccer community already misses these individuals.

World Cup-Winning Goalie Competes For Job Against Kids In This Prank

There is nothing like seeing kids meet their idols. These six young goalkeepers arrived for what they thought to be an interview for a position to be goalkeeper for a soccer club. But what they ran into was one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

Iker Casillas joined in on the prank as he interviewed the little goalkeepers and in one instance was competing for a spot on the club against the little tykes.

The Best Baby Footballers In The World Star In This Commercial

Ok, so we'll admit, for the first few seconds of this video our jaws nearly hit the floor. The effects are good enough that for a moment we thought we were laying eyes on the next Messi, Neymar, Zlatan, Bale, [insert other world famous footballer here].

It then dawned on us that we'd been had by a clever, and not even new, commercial from Canon Canada that someone just re-posted to Vine. Instead of feeling had, however, we simply watched it a couple times more and enjoyed it for what it is: a great fake, kind of like the talking E-Trade baby but not nearly as creepy.

Giroud or Zidane: Whose Headbutt Was Better?

In a moment reminiscent of Zinedine Zidane's epic headbutt against Italy in the 2006 World Cup final, Arsenal's Olivier Giroud headbutted QPR's Nedum Onuoha on Boxing Day. So whose was better?

Alexis Sanchez: Comedian Of The Premier League

Alexis Sanchez has adapted incredibly quickly to the Premier League this season, scoring 10 goals and recording 6 assists in all competitions. Both of those numbers are the highest in the squad, but that is not all that Alexis leads the team in.

Sanchez is, without a doubt, the most entertaining Arsenal player to watch. He is charismatic on the pitch, gesticulating to teammates, opponents and referees alike, and once he gets the ball at his feet he manipulates it as if it were another tongue with which he speaks.
