Former Chelsea and Newcastle United striker Demba Ba has suffered a horrific leg injury while playing with Shanghai Shenhua in the Chinese Super League. The Senegalese striker transferred from Turkish club Besiktas to Shanghai last summer for £11.3 million and is currently leading the CSL with 14 goals in 18 matches.
However, Ba’s career now appears to be in jeopardy after he suffered a gruesome injury following a challenge in a derby match between Shanghai Shenhua and Shanghai SIPG on Sunday.

The legend himself, Ronaldinho, returned to action in the Premier Futsal 2016 tournament in India, and we're glad to say that he's still got it. An interesting 18th week in the MLS had some own goals, a goal saving handball (great stuff FC Dallas), an extraordinary hat trick by Clint Dempsey (goal, assist and a red card), and a preposterous banger courtesy of Cristian Techera. Fresh off of a 1-0 lead, Vancouver took advantage of another chance just minutes later to put the game out of reach. A failed freekick attempt led to a ball bouncing back out of the box where Techera received a pass to then take his chances with the ball on his left foot.

France lost the Euro 2016 final in their national team's home stadium to a team missing its only truly world-class player. If only there was some object that could perfectly capture what that moment was like.

Sunday's European Championship final was overshadowed in part by an injury to Cristiano Ronaldo, which was overshadowed in part by the appearance of a moth.
Allegedly because of safety reasons, the floodlights were left on at the Stade de France the night before the game, which resulted in a moth infestation, which resulted in a moth landing on Ronaldo's face as he came to terms that his Euro 2016 race was run.
