On Sunday in women’s college soccer, the Duke Blue Devils and Wake Forest Demon Deacons played to a hellish 0-0 draw after 90 minutes of regular time and two 10-minute overtime periods. 

Wake Forest had the best opportunity at winning in the 99th-minute when a Duke foul near the edge of the area resulted in a penalty for the Demon Deacons.

But the tame effort from the spot was saved, and Wake Forest coach Tony da Luz couldn’t hide his displeasure when kicking a crate. The crate, however, fought back and eventually KO’d the manager.  

An unreal scene took place during a training session for the Brazil women’s national team when a macaw landed on the head of defender Bruna Benites. No, it was not during a match despite nearly every sports media outlet saying so.

American fans of the Premier League can all relate to waking up earlier than they would prefer on weekends. Everyone has a routine, but my routine for a Premier League morning surpassed everyone else’s.

This time, I decided to film my experience as a Chelsea supporter waking up to watch the Blues lose to Liverpool 2-0. Mistakes from Kepa, run-ins with Peacock and a true British breakfast all made an appearance in my morning.

Sparks flew at halftime during the Swansea vs. Birmingham match when Swans first-team coach Alan Tate appeared to reach for a player’s throat and shove him to the ground. The victim of Tate’s WWE impression was Birmingham’s Jon Toral. The admin for Birmingham’s Twitter account only fanned the flames by posting the incident.

Despite Watford being relegated from the Premier League last season, the presence of Harry the Hornet still buzzes over the league. Most notably, Harry has appeared in Liverpool left back Andy Robertson’s latest book. Robertson’s book, Robbo: Now You’re Gonna Believe Us: Our Year, My Story, is not only an absurdly long title but features the notorious Harry the Hornet.

Dutch top flight club FC Emmen will not be allowed to enter into a shirt sponsorship deal with a company that makes sex toys, the Dutch football association (KNVB) has said.

Emmen played their opening game of the new season without a logo on their shirt on Sunday as they were still looking for a sponsor. After agreeing a deal with EasyToys, they sought permission from the KNVB but it was swiftly denied.

Barcelona is reportedly close to announcing the signing of Dutch striker and worldwide rap artist Memphis Depay. The full-time footballer, part-time rapper caught the eye of the Catalan club after helping Olympique Lyonnais reach the 2019 Champions League semifinal. We know he’s a talented footballer, but is Memphis Depay a good rapper?

When Wycombe Wanderers faced off against Rotherham United over the weekend, very few fans were expecting a footballing masterclass.

Both sides were newly promoted from League One; Wycombe gained promotion to the Championship for the first time ever this season, doing so after being relegation favorites last year, while Rotherham has bounced between the two divisions each of the last five seasons.
